7. Payments
7.1 Payment Terms

7.2 Late Payment
Late or non-payment may result in suspension of work, additional charges, or legal recovery. Ownership of materials may remain with Solar Contractor until full payment has been received.
8. Standards and Compliance
Solar Contractor operates in accordance with recognised industry and commercial standards and complies with applicable South African building regulations and NHBRC requirements. Compliance certificates are issued where required (e.g. electrical or plumbing).
9. Warranties and Defects
Workmanship defects must be reported in writing within a reasonable timeframe.
Warranties do not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Client-supplied materials
- Damage caused by third parties
- Lack of maintenance
- Structural movement or external factors beyond our control
10. Insurance and Liability
We maintain appropriate contractor and business insurance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solar Contractor is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, pre-existing defects, or delays caused by weather, supply shortages, or force majeure events.
11. Health and Safety
We maintain professionally managed and controlled work sites. Clients must ensure that unauthorised persons are kept clear of work areas and comply with all safety requirements.
We reserve the right to suspend work if unsafe conditions are identified.
